John R. Smith, President and CEO: John is responsible for the overall strategic development and management of HOC. He has been with HOC since 1988, serving as a founding member of the Board of Directors. He became CFO in 1992, and then CEO in 1996. John assumed a leadership role in HOC after 20 years teaching in the Mesa Public School system.

Stacy Neal, Vice President/Housing Counselor: Stacy provides oversight in the areas of grant writing, program development, contract compliance, reporting, budget development, and is a certified Housing Counselor through NeighborWorks America. She has been with HOC since 1996. Stacy holds a B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University.

 
Burt Neal, Property Development Director: Burt is responsible for all aspects of the property division at HOC. Burt is a certified home inspector, 203K Cost Consultant, and provides needed acquisition and rehab oversight. He also oversees all new construction and development projects throughout Arizona. Burt has been with HOC since 2004.  

M. Carmen Guzman, Housing Counselor/Foreclosure Prevention Specialist: Carmen provides bilingual counseling services to potential homebuyers as well as provides all Foreclosure Prevention Counseling Services. She is a certified Housing Counselor through NeighborWorks and has been with HOC since 2009.

Volunteers

HOC has a talented team of about 25 volunteers that provide services to clients such as front office intake/referral, outreach, marketing, property clean-up/maintenance, etc. Do you want to volunteer?
